Robert Sadler worked for his family's electrical contracting business for 13 years, alongside his father Rod until his retirement in 1998. Soon after, Rob established his own business, which has since gone from strength to strength. He has a wealth of experience and expertise, as well as an eye for detail which is evident in the standard of his work. Sadler Electrical are NICEIC Approved Contractors which enables us to work within all scopes of electrical installation, including domestic, commercial and industrial settings.
Rob is committed to ensuring his technical knowledge is completely up to date, by regularly attending training courses and seminars. With the introduction of the 18th Edition Wiring Standards, which came into force in January 2019, he completed the Level 3 Award in the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS7671:2018. In addition to this, Rob has also attended an NICEIC Electric Vehicle Charging course and additional manufacturer training, including Zappi, Garo, Pod point, Easee and Rolec. We are listed on the OZEV (formerly OLEV) list of approved EV charge point installers.
Emma Burrows joined the company in 2016 and is now a qualified electrician, having recently completed her Electrotechnical Apprenticeship course at Bedford College, passing with distinction. As part of the course, she also completed both the Level 3 Award in the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS7671:2018 and Level 3 Award in the Initial Verification and Certification of Electrical Installations. However, not underestimating the importance of experience in this profession, Emma will continue to work alongside and be mentored by Rob in order to gain advanced knowledge and understanding.
Rob and Emma both pride themselves on providing a high quality, professional and reliable service, from start to finish. They enjoy working closely with their customers to meet their requests and individual requirements, to find creative, efficient, cost effective and energy saving solutions without sacrificing their standard of work or compromising customer safety. This includes using good quality materials and ensuring that all work is compliant with the IET Wiring Standards. They also regularly attend electrical trade shows and enjoy keeping up to date with the latest developments and innovations within the industry.

Apprentice at the age of 15
The Sadler family have been electricians in the local area for over 60 years and spanning 3 generations. In the early 1960s, Fred Sadler (Rob’s Grandfather) set up a limited company under the name of Nene Valley Electrics. Back then, the business was based in Warmington, a small village on the outskirts of Oundle.
His son, Rod, joined the family business in 1964 and continued working there until Fred’s retirement in 1983. At that point Rod and his eldest brother set up their own company, and relocated to Oundle. Rod’s son Rob joined the business not long after, as an apprentice at the age of 15.
After Rod retired, Rob made the decision to form his own company, continuing the Sadler family name in electrical contracting.
